Born 1948, lived in Prestonpans and studied arts in Preston Lodge High School,Telford, Falmouth and Edinburgh art and design colleges.
Served a very precise engineering apprentiship in Edinburgh 1963-68, joined British Merchant Navy as an engineer and worked my way up to post of Chief Engineer, travelled this world and saw some wonderful scenery.
An accident in1990 let me use painting as my profession so I attended various colleges,watercolours,oils,pastels and mixed media are what I use to paint as I see.
Contemporary, realistic, naturalistic, are some of the words used to describe my techniques for painting.
Travelling to sights is enjoyable but it never fails to amaze me how near the views are to be painted...
